About Us:

“Comprehensive Area Development Society(CADS)”   is an Indian NGO (non government organization) which is a non-political and independent humanitarian organisation working for the upliftment of villages and the under-privileged. CADS was started in Nov 1998 by Dr.Rajneesh Singh. The objective was to bring opportunities and facilities to under-privileged. The main aim of the society is to promote the all round amelioration of the society for poor helpless and weaker section. The work started in the rural area of Distrct Varanasi & Naxal prone of District Sonebhadra and has spread in its surrounding District of Uttar Pradesh.
The society is centrally located, so that the nearby District Chandauli, Sonebhadra, Mirzapur, Ghazipur, Bhadohi, Allahabad, Gorakhpur, Ballia & Jaunpur are within convenient reach of its Head office, and these districts are well covered for Society's different programme. Over the years CADS has grown and has an experienced and committed board of Management which includes like-minded renowned people. These Members are professionally qualified in various fields.
CADS observes high standards of accountability, credibility and transparency in all its projects and commitments. CADS also provides opportunity for everyone to participate in its initiatives for the upliftment of the underprivileged. CADS is a duly registered as Society with the Government of India and the Income Tax department and also has all the necessary permissions required to work in various fields and accept donations from local as well as sources abroad. We are proud to say that we have blanket permission from the Home Ministry, Government of India to receive foreign donations under the Foreign Contribution (Regulation) Act, 1976.
We have received this registration for a wide area of activity - "Educational - Social". This demands total transparency and credibility from us about our activities. We are also registered with the Income Tax Department, Government of India, so that all donations to us are exempt from income tax. CADS has been granted tax exemption by the Government of India, under section 80 G of Income Tax Act, 1961. CADS is working with Uttar Pradesh Health System Development Project (Funded by World Bank) in Block Duddhi District Sonebhadra to provide Primary Health Care Services and also associates with Education for all Scheme under which society is ruining Residantial & Non Residancial School in various District Of Uttar Pradesh.
CADS is running a Computer Training Institute - Institute For Professional Development (IPD) with Institute of Entrepreneurship development UP Lucknow (State Nodal Agency for Entrepreneurship development training and research) for Computer Training & entrepreneurial development. Apart from this society used to organize training programs for poor and weaker section of the society with the help of various government sectors. Apart from that CADS is running various training programs (Stitching, Weaving & other Entrepreneurship Development Programs related to Women Empowerment) under KSY Program (ICDS Project funded by World Bank) for women empowerment. Society is also associated with SWAJAL DHARA (Funded by World Bank) in various districts.
Apart from this Society has stabilizes a sound network of several Awareness & Training Programme with the help of its self-raised fund for various programs related to social development. Apart from these CADS has a sound network with more than Two hundred NGOs with whom society use to organizes various Capacity Building Programs & Community Development Programs.

2-To promote and strengthen a medically rational, culturally acceptable and economically sustainable Health Care System.

CADS's mission is to work for the cause and care of disadvantaged persons and to improve their quality of life.

OBJECTIVE

Primary Objective

• CADS's primary objective is to make health & Education a reality for the people by promoting Training, Awareness, social justice & human rights related to the provision and distribution of related services.
• CADS tries to achieve these goals through campaigns, policy research, advocacy, need based training, media interventions, publications and audio visuals, dissemination of information and running of Education, health and development projects in difficult areas.
• CADS works for people centered policies and their effective implementation. It sensitises the general public on important of health, education and development issues for evolving a sustainable movement.

General Objective

• To improve the Quality of Life of the Common People by empowering them to utilize, indigenes and Safe Guard Resources.
• To make people aware about Child & Woman Health, Family Welfare AIDS, STD, VD, and other topics related to Health & Hygiene.
• To contribute to the empowerment of community for sustained development.
• To undertake education, campaign, and advocacy, research and action program to address the problem of ecological destruction and unsustainable population growth and consumption patterns.
• To make sanitation a felt need.
• To raised funds through collection donation of subscription & other means & invest money or incur expenditure in such manner as shall promote the attainment of aims and objectives of the Samiti.

AIE STRATEGY

The strategy for AIE is to provide alternative learning facilities to children with express purpose of mainstreaming as many children as possible into formal system. The implementation of strategy is done with active involvement of the Village Education Committee (VEC) / Ward Education Committee and the community. The VEC / WEC & the community have freedom to determine time duration, venue and holiday pattern for the AIE centre as per learner convenience aiming at transacting on an average four hours of learning. The AIE centers are completely managed by the Village Education Committee / Ward Education Committee. Priority is given to small and remote habitations and urban areas with at least 20 children, Education of class 1 to 5 is imparted in theses centers.

BRIDGE COURSE

Bridge Course is a strategy to mainstream children of older age especially never enrolled and dropouts back to formal schools through a six month course, which helps to wean children away from work and enables the family to reallocate work done by children amongst the adults. The duration of course is six month. At end of camp the children are assessed and admitted to formal school in the appropriate class. Two type of bridge courses are being run in the state under SSA. One is residential bridge course another is non residential bridge course
